Unlike the original, Maauad’s counter-monumental work delivers an uplifting message: “To share is precious, pure, and fair.” This lyric from Marvin Gaye’s song “I Want You” symbolizes kindness, transforming a symbol of power into one of compassion and a sign of our inexorable connection with each other.
